No, we haven't begun a Pizza tour.. Today we're visiting Georgio's Pizza on Scenic Hwy to try their burger. Who knew they even had a burger!? Apparently you did. After countless emails- we've decided to give Georgio's a shot. Today's the day.

The Burger Tour gets sophisticated today at the Fish House in Pensacola. True, we're not used to linen table cloths, fancy menus or candles- but this 100% Black Angus Burger couldn't be turned down. Check back to see how it rates.

Getting eight guys together every Friday for lunch, all Summer long is not easy. Due to a handful of scheduling conflicts- the Tour was forced to roll on Thursday this week. Because time was an issue- we hit a local spot that we'd heard a lot of good things about; Grover's Fingers and Wings on Davis Highway.

Burgers, they’re our passion. Sadly, they’re not our livelihood.
This week four of our Panel Members (The Accountant, The Landman, The Computer Whiz and the Carpenter) have each been called out of town on business. In each circumstance it was unavoidable.
Sure, the rest of us could have filed into a Burger Joint and scored a Burger- but our commitment to you is consistency, steadfastness and a scientific process that involves scoring each burger the same way each week.
It wouldn’t have been fair to this week’s Tour Stop, to the former Tour Stops, to you, or us.
So we apologize for the need to postpone this week’s Tour Stop- but we hope you’ll understand- it’s because we’ve made a commitment- to you, our readers.
It’s unfortunate that this hiatus comes during the first week of allowing our readers to choose our Tour Stop. We’ve received hundreds of votes in our Poll- and yet surprisingly the tally is still relatively close between two of the Stops.
We ask that you continue to vote- and promise that if we’re able- we will visit the winning destination next week.

If you ever find yourself wandering the oil fields of East Texas make sure you stop in at the Chicken Oil Co. for a Snuffy burger.

The Burger Tour takes a Holiday.
One might think that evaluating burgers on a weekly basis is simply a “walk in the park,” but the truth is; it’s a serious, labor intensive responsibility. Not just anyone can properly assess a burger every seven days- it takes finely tuned taste buds, unwavering commitment, and unparalleled dedication from Burger loving men of the highest caliber.
That being said- the Tour has decided to take a Holiday this coming 4th of July weekend. Instead of paying visit to a local unsuspecting Burger joint- the Panel will instead revisit the #1 stop on the Tour- The Blue Dot BBQ. This visit to the Blue Dot will both lift their spirits in preparation for the Holiday weekend and re-calibrate their taste buds.
So, this Holiday weekend- as you celebrate this great Country with your friends and family- stop by the Blue Dot BBQ if you’ve never been- you’ll be glad you did.

Today we visit Garrett's Restaurant in Pensacola, FL. We're told that their half pound burgers are weighed and formed by hand, on location, every morning. For sake of time- we're not be able to consume these Burgers on the premises- but will take the Burgers to an undisclosed location and consume them there. This is also done in an effort to conceal our true identities from would be Burger Paparazzi...

This Week; The Tour rolls on Thursday! Why? Simple. Several of you have told us that the "Wimpy Burger" at the Hip Pocket Deli is the best burger in our area. Problem is, they only serve the Wimpy on Thursdays. So, this week the Tour rolls into the Hip Pocket Deli a day early- on Thursday. Standby for the results...

This week we visit Tops Hamburgers on Cervantes in Pensacola. We've been told by several of our friends on the
Pensacola Fishing Forum that Tops is hands down- one of the best Burgers in this area. So, we're giving it a shot. But let me warn those of you on the PFF - your credibility is on the line here...
