The Blue Dot BBQ is a small, unassuming burger joint located on Devilliers Street in Downtown Pensacola.

There’s no sign out front, no neon lights or obnoxious “Best Burger in Town” sign- just a small blue building where they’re consistently turning out some of the best burgers in Pensacola, period.If an alien life form arrives on our planet and asks “What is a hamburger?” They should be taken immediately to Devilliers Street, presented with a Blue Dot and told in a loud voice: “THAT. Is a hamburger.”

This week, the Tour celebrates America.

We celebrate our Independence, freedom and pause to honor our great land.  We’re humbled by the victory that was won by those great patriots who fought to protect our freedom.

As we celebrate the 4^th of July, we celebrate family.

In the spirit of the Holiday- we encouraged our Panel Members to take a week off- spend time with family, and seek out their favorite burger whether it’s from the backyard or at a local burger joint.

Next week the Tour rolls to a 2012 favorite, but this week- it’s God Bless America.

Tippy’s Tavern is just that, a Tavern; a dimly lit, smoke filled room where sailors exchange stories over a cold round of drinks (and burgers.) Located across the street from a tattoo parlor and a plasma donation center- it’s the perfect place to order a burger, enjoy a cold drink and talk yourself into a lower back tattoo- or donating plasma, or both.

The menu at Tippy’s boasts “the best cheeseburger in town” and our friend Troy Moon recommended this joint- so we decided to step inside, light up a secondhand cigarette, and order a round of burgers.
